Whilst hot dip galvanising is used for large fabrications, spin galvanising protects small parts such as hinges, nuts, bolts, and bracketry.
With spin galvanising, small steel pieces can be placed in a perforated basket and immersed in molten zinc. Once the zinc/iron alloy layers form, the basket is centrifuged at high speed so that the spinning action removes the excess zinc and creates a clean profile. You can learn more about spin galvanising here.
As part of the wider Joseph Ash Group, we can arrange spin galvanising at our sister plant at Joseph Ash Telford. Spin galvanising services include:
Our spin galvanising bath size (basket only) is 250mm diameter by 500mm long.
