Danielle is our new Sales Coordinator at Joseph Ash Widnes, so we took the opportunity to chat to her and find about all about her and her new role.
Started: February 2025
Site: Widnes Galvanising Ltd (Joseph Ash Widnes)
Role: Sales Coordinator
Food: Love a good fry up but would give the black puddings a miss.
Film/TV show: I’m a Drag Race girl through and through. I also love Friends and Real Housewives – my guilty pleasures.
Pastime/Hobby: I love to draw and do scrapbooking. It’s a fabulous way to express my creativity, and it’s a great feeling when you finish a piece of art.
I became a part of the team at the end of February. Everyone is very welcoming here, I’ve settled right in and I’m excited to be involved in the growth of the business.
As Sales Coordinator for the site, my day-to-day activities consist of ensuring our current customers are being retained and are happy with the services provided. I also seek out new business leads for potential customers, help around reception, and assist in the day-to-day running of the office. As I’m new, I’m still learning the ropes but I’m looking forward to becoming an intricate part of the team at Widnes.
Before I started here, I was a Call Centre Trainer and mentored the new staff and trained them so they’re ready to go onto the floor and start taking calls. I also worked as an Incident Manager and would case-manage complaints that had escalated. Before this, I worked in a micro-biological testing facility and was the Office Administrator. It was this position that I achieved my Level 3 Diploma in Business Admin. I loved both of those positions.
My family had worked here previously and loved it. Widnes Galvanising has a great reputation around this area, so I wanted to be a part of the team. There’s lots of positions to progress into here and so much to learn. I love working in a fast-paced environment and no two days are the same – I like the challenge.
I’m looking forward to learning all the terminology and becoming the go-to person in the office. Soon I’ll be able to generate quotations, and this is something I’m excited to learn.
